I kid, you couldn’t possibly get sick of me, I’m delightful. UPDATE 5/14 2:55 pm: With everything we now know, the Birds are staring at a bye week on either Week 9 or 13. I am totally fine with any, but my preference is 9, right in the middle of the year.
UPDATE 3:54 pm: Damn, I love a Week 9 BYE WEEK!!!! The entire schedule is leaked. I will have an in-depth, WAY TOO EARLY breakdown either tomorrow or Friday.
I have heard a few people (notably Kevin) say that they are annoyed that Dallas gets the shine of being in the Season Kickoff game. I think that’s a definitive example of cutting your nose off to spite your face. Jerry Jones and he’s circus of idiots will all have to pile into the Linc for what is guaranteed to be the hottest ticket in years in this town for a non-playoff game for any of the four major sports (hockey still counts dammit!) The Dallas contingent will have to watch as a banner gets hung atop Lincoln Financial Field. I personally can’t think of a better way to humiliate your rival. Sucks to suck cowpokes.
UPDATE 5/14 9 am: Good Morning Phaithful, this news just broke, and a promise is a promise, the REMATCH is set. You can’t be bummed that the game is in KC because we already knew they were hosting based on the opponents list released months ago. I, for one, am over the moon that the game is week 2 because the Eagles have a mini bye week worked into their schedule as a result of kicking off the season on 9/4. That’s ten days between games, which is perfect for a team that typically doesn’t play starters much, if at all, in the preseason. The game itself is probably a coinflip because of the whole Super Bowl revenge angle (we did it to them in KC after SB 57), but the Birds are the far superior team on paper, so hopefully we are looking at a 2-0 start with dubs over our two biggest rivals in (in recent years at least with KC). Hopefully, Jalen Carter can give us another masterpiece photo of abuse on the guy who sits in the chair in the bedroom…

UPDATE 5/14 11:30 am: Birds swoop into the swamp that is the Meadowlands on Thursday night on Amazon Prime (and local channels, NBC, I believe? per NFL broadcasting rules). I like the fact that we have two divisional games in the first six weeks (as of now). This should be a dub, regardless of how improved the Giants are, their arms are still far too short to box with god.
UPDATE 5/14 2 pm: Giants at Eagles in Week 8. I like that the two games are still 2 weeks apart, I also appreciate they aren’t at the end of the year this time, too!
The next game leaked is the Monday nighter at Green Bay. I already saw someone who works for the mothership take the stance that the game is going to be some metaphorical bowl game over the Brotherly Shove and its legality. That is a bigger reach than drafting Danny Watkins in the first round (IYKYK). It’s a game against another good team from the NFC that the Birds beat twice last year, once in a different country and once in the playoffs. Are the Pack a bunch of whiners trying to get a QB sneak banned? Yes. Is it worth blowing that out of proportion to create a narrative? Not, not at all. Is it going to happen anyway? Yeah, probably.
UPDATE 5/14 2:55 pm: Game of the Year potential right here, boys and girls! Lions at Eagles, under the lights, Sunday night. I smell the black jersey x black helmet combo debuting!
I am without a doubt most excited about the Black Friday game. Why? Because it will provide the greatest opportunity in Philly sports, the rare Flyers-Birds South Philly doubleheader! My liver may never recover from this.
UPDATE 5/14 2:55 pm: A Little early December road trip out to La-La Land. I expect the Chargers to be improved and a playoff team. This is a sneaky awesome game for MNF.

And the Saturday before Christmas game against the RedCommieClub? Cool, cool, cool, cool, cool… Not a lot to say there.
UPDATE 5/14 2 pm: At Buffalo on 12/28, Week 17. I’ve been to that stadium for an Eagles vs. Bills tip in mid-October. This is absolutely going to be 5 times colder. I love away game trips, I’ve been on minimum one a year since 2018. This will not be the away game this year. I value my extremities too much!
UPDATE 5/14 12:20 pm: I really am being tested today as I’ve had to update this and the Rick Tocchet piece multiple times in the last 3 hours. The Birds wrap up the season hosting the RedCommieClub at a time and date to be determined because of how the NFL flexes schedules in the final few weeks to maximize TV audience and drama (I wish hockey did something similar). This could be a banger like the one in week 16, or it could be a stinker fest if the Reds regress like I think they will in year 2 of Jayden Daniels. Only seven and change more hours until the full reveal, and I can finally stop posting updates…
