The men aren’t the only ones looking to shine tonight at the 2025 Royal Rumble. The women are about to step up and show out as only they can for THEIR chance at a championship match in the main event of Wrestlemania.

Since its inception in 2018, the women’s Royal Rumble match has quickly become popular amongst WWE fans. With surprise entrants from the past like Trish Stratus, Lita, Mickey James, Molly Holly, and even Ivory, to NXT stars getting the call-up for the Rumble, it’s almost paralleled its male counterpart in excitement and end-of-your-seat thrills. I will be highlighting a few of the women I believe could win, as well as a few surprise entrants I feel we may see when the buzzer goes off tonight. So let’s kick off some style, class, and a bit of royalty for my surprise entrants!

All Hail The Queen: Charlotte Flair

Who better to start this article off, than the 14-time Women’s World Champion, Charlotte Flair? I’m looking for her to make her return tonight after sustaining a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus in December of 2023. Having missed the entirety of 2024, Charlotte will look to get right back to where she was at the top of the WWE mountain. Having won this event in 2020, Charlotte will look to become the first 2-time winner of the Women’s Royal Rumble match, and with her expertise, I don’t think it will be that difficult for her this time around. I personally feel that a return by Charlotte and a win tonight will lead to a clash with Rhea Ripley at Wrestlemania 41. And with Rhea not competing in this year’s match, it would take a lot to stop Charlotte from outlasting 29 other women. You could even say it could take a juggernaut to stop her. Queue surprise entrant number two!

The newest signee to WWE: The Juggernaut Jordynne Grace

Ok, I’ll admit, this one isn’t that much of a surprise. If you follow any sort of wrestling news, you know that Jordynne Grace’s contract with TNA Impact ended after their most recent PPV, Genesis. After the event, she signed a multi-year contract with WWE that will surely start with her entrance into this year’s Rumble match. The former TNA Knockouts Champion already made an appearance in the Rumble match last year, lasting 19 minutes in the match, but not securing any eliminations. This year though, I fully expect the Juggernaut to show up and show out as an official member of the WWE roster. She may not stay on the main roster if she doesn’t secure a win in the Rumble, but I wholeheartedly believe she’ll end up in NXT and have an amazing beginning to her career in WWE. You can’t mention NXT without mentioning the next not-so-much-surprise entrant on my list.

The Prodigy: Roxanne Perez

Enter 2-time NXT Women’s Champion, Roxanne Perez. The Prodigy is sure to show up in the Rumble match for the second year in a row. Normally, when NXT’s champions end a long reign, they’re due for a call-up to the main roster. At New Year’s Evil last month, not only did Trick Williams lose the NXT Championship to Oba Femi, but Roxanne lost the NXT Women’s Championship to Japanese sensation and NXT newcomer, Guilia. With Roxanne currently in a heated exchange with Raw superstar Baylee, she is almost guaranteed to show up tonight and continue to be a thorn in the side of the Role Model before their triple threat match at NXT Vengeance Day against the reigning NXT Women’s Champion, Guilia. Roxy may not win the Rumble match this year, but I can almost guarantee you, she will be a big player on the main roster for years to come. She’s small, she’s mighty, and her in-ring ability is second to none.

Little Miss Bliss or Member of Wyatt 6?: Alexa Bliss

This pick is difficult for me to consider with recent news. Alexa’s representatives were seeking a new contract with more money and more perks upon her return to WWE. Brass at WWE were expecting Bliss to return under her original contract and the two sides have since hit a stalemate. Now, it’s not unfathomable to think a deal can be made last minute, and Alexa shows up in tonight’s Rumble match. My ultimate quarrel with her showing up, is what iteration of her character will we get? Will we get Little Miss Bliss, her original gimmick? Will we get Alexa’s Playground version of her, carrying around her Lily doll and creeping everyone out? Or will we get a full-blown Wyatt 6 version? I believe that when she returns, she should be a female version of The Fiend and wreak havoc on the entire women’s roster. And what better way to do that than showing up in the mid-twenties tonight during the Rumble match? The pop from her entrance will be unimaginable unless my final surprise entrant ACTUALLY shows up!

The Wife of C.M. Punk: AJ Lee

Now let’s face it folks, this pick is one that EVERYONE has clamored about since C.M. Punk returned to WWE in 2023. AJ Lee hasn’t been seen in WWE since 2015, lasting just a few more years than her husband, before ultimately departing from the company herself. The former Diva’s champion has surely been missed within WWE by many fans, and one could only imagine what the Women’s division would look like now if she had never left WWE in the first place. But there’s no sense in thinking about what COULD have been when we’re here to discuss what MIGHT happen tonight. This may be an extremely hot take, but if her music goes off tonight during the Rumble, it could easily surpass the pop that Edge received upon his return in 2020. I don’t expect AJ to make a full return to WWE, but I do expect her to have an amazing performance while she’s in the ring. This only furthers fans’ excitement at the possibility of match ups with the likes of, Bayley, Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, or even, my pick to win this year’s match, Iyo Sky.

The Winner of the 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble: Iyo Sky

There’s no denying that Iyo Sky is one of the most dynamic female Superstars on the WWE roster. The Genius of the Sky has continuously given the WWE Universe highlight reel moments since joining the company in 2018 at the Mae Young Classic. From her trash can spots in War Games, to capturing her first championship in August of 2023. While this Rumble match may be stacked with more surprise entrants than actual roster members, Iyo Sky seems like the most likely choice to win this year’s match and get herself back into the main event picture, and possibly regain the WWE Women’s Championship. It will be harder for her to accomplish this if the likes of Flair, Lynch, Bliss, or even Jade Cargill make returns, but one thing is for certain, Iyo will not go down without a fight, and in my opinion, will successfully become the 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble Match winner!

It All Goes Down Tonight on Peacock!

I could sit here endlessly throwing out names that could appear tonight or names that should win the Rumble matches. But I think I should leave some mystery to the event. In the meantime, I’m gonna get nice and comfortable, and get ready for the 2025 Royal Rumble from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana Live on Peacock at 6 PM EST!! Man, what a plug!!!
