Welcome to the Thunderdome

Now and again some good luck befalls us all. This past Friday I was blessed with a trio of tickets to the Eagles game against the lowly Giants. Given the burgeoning nature of my new media endeavor, with Get ‘Em Next Year, it was a natural decision to offer the remaining two to my colleagues.
But Charley, there are three of them and only two tickets. Yes, I can do math, so the only fair way to handle it was thunder-dome. Three men, two survive and one gets left behind.

“Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, dyin’ time’s here!”

At the starting bell, it was clear, Kev and JJ had an alliance. Tyles never stood a chance. JJ sets up with a smooth leg sweep and lifts Tyles into position. Kev, from the turnbuckle, goes Coast-to-Coast, dropkicking him to oblivion. JJ and Kev are victorious.

The travelers are decided, the vehicle is stocked with provisions and the voyage begins.

We get down to the Chickies and Pete’s on Packer Ave and grease the wheels to get a good spot with an easy escape. After a couple’a drinks, we hop on the Taxi Crab. It’s so choice, I highly recommend it if you have the means. It’s a calm confidence among the fans today. We know the Giants are about to get boat raced.

We built the GENY brand at this game. Slapping backs and kissin’ babies. Most notably JJ got up close and personal (and pimped the merch) to a scantily clad fan with long flowing locks.

As far as meaningless final games of the season go, this was the most palatable in recent memory. The backups looked good. McKee got some early targets to Dallas Goedert and it inspired confidence that he was ready to roll after a months-long layoff. McKee probably locked up the QB2 spot for next season with this performance. As of the writing of this article, Ian Book was cut. Knowing this, we can be confident Hurts is ready to roll for the Wild card game. The biggest takeaway, the Birds are alright.
